Nick and Ros spent nine
years in Nepal in the nineties and noughties. They thrived in a
remote
village, and in a cosmopolitan town; working with Christian and secular
organisations. Nick pioneered a TB and HIV programme, while Ros and a
Nepali friend prayed him through each obstacle. They raised two
daughters, negotiated red tape, faced political unrest, and engaged
with the rapidly-growing Nepali church. Intending to be change agents,
they found Nepal changed them.
They now live on a new multi-cultural estate in Leicester, where they are engaged in communitybuilding. As part of a small church they seek to be good news for their neighbours. Nick works part-time as a GP and part-time in promoting community health care in the resource-poor world.
